Scion of Ikshvaku by Amish Tripathi

Scion of Ikshvaku (Ram Chandra, #1)Scion of Ikshvaku by Amish Tripathi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Typical Amish book. This time it is on the Ramayana. All the characters transform under the expert hands of the author. Every notion that one has of Rama, Dasharatha, Sita, Laxman is challenged and the reader is forced accept new reality.

If one can get over that than the book is a decent read. The author mixes the situations in current day Indian society and weaves it seamlessly into his epic.

This book starts with the birth of Rama and ends with Sita haran.

Read if you enjoyed his earlier books. If his earlier books did not enthrall you don't. These won't either.
