Book Review of Sacred Games by Vikram Chandra

Sacred GamesSacred Games by Vikram Chandra

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Vast is one word that comes to one's mind after reading the book. So many characters and background of each character is covered completely. But towards the end it feels forced. Especially the store of Sartaj's mother's sister and Riyaz Khan's story seems a little of a stretch.

Nevertheless a good read for somebody who has the patience to go through 946 pages.

He could have hit a 1000 pages had he elaborated on a few more characters like maybe police office Kamble or Majid Khan (has been elaborated a little) or it could have become 2000 pages if he had taken up a story to weave around Sulieman Isa. Maybe he is storing it for his next book :-).
