Of F(r)actions and Woman

She was in the thick of action,
Cracking away at Mathematical fractions,
As she started getting some traction,
She was interrupted by Pascal's faction

Asking her who had given her the sanction,
To enter the world manned by men,
Where everybody banned were women,
The Pascal's faction contained ten,
Of the most best, who within their ken,
Had ne'er let a woman within their den

The reason they did resist,
Was that they were sexist,
And though themselves elitist,
So much did this thought persist,
That on this thought they did subsist

While at her they did scoff,
She fought the factions off,
By factoring till she had enough,In the end they did their hats doff,
And accepted that she had brains enough.
