My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Not the fast paced novel like the ones of Stieg Larsson, but a slow buildup through multiple branches, all culminating in a wonderful denouement.
The book starts will a murder of a devout real estate agent. Wallander's house is plundered and he loses all his favourite CDs and stereo system. The house that the real estate agent was going to see seems innocent enough, but there seems to be some funny happenings in the neighbouring areas.
Wallander gets pulled into the center of the investigation and so is his daughter and father.
Involves international conspiracy with players from South Africa and Russia playing an important role.
A worth read.
