My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book starts off with where the first one ends. Harry Clifton's romantic other half (Emma, his best friend's sister) comes in search of him.
As she is searching for him, he takes off from the US to the Europe to serve in the World War II. His best friend too serves in the British army.
As Emma discovers the whereabouts of Harry, she also wins a battle against the lawyer who dupes Harry into accepting an accusation which lands him in jail.
The two friends unite, only to find that circumstances have been created where the House of Lords is going to decide which of them will be the owner of Harry's friend's company as it is still suspected that Harry is his step-brother, thanks to his mother's one night stand with his best brother's father.
The book ends with the House of Lords preparing to vote.
A good read for the fans of Jeffrey Archer.
