Started reading the book with a lot of expectation as I consider myself to be a Peruphile. Expected to understand at least some history about Peru. While the book does throw some light on a very small time frame in the history of Peru it was pretty disappointing for me.
The story is woven around two members of the Peruvian Security in a remote village in the Andes. The life and travails that they go through and the love life of one of them detailed out.
An OK read, but do not expect too much flavour of Peru.
