The book is about a lady who has been brought up by a doting father without being exposed to the realities of life. When she gets married and comes with her husband she is unable to adjust to what she considers cold shouldering by her husband.
Eventually she ends up killing her husband and ends up in an asylum
A thoroughly avoidable book.
