China and Google

Its time somebody called China's bluff of not violating the Human Rights. It was good to see Google pick up the mantle by removing censorship of search within China. After making some noise about it China has become quite. I wish the others like Microsoft and Yahoo too pick up the gauntlet and walk out of China.

See my post when Google went to China http://chintanaigal.blogspot.com/2010/01/google-in-china.html

It is OK if China asks for censorship of Pornography, but censorship of terms like democracy, freedom of speech, Tienanmen Square, Tibet (one of the worst secret Human Rights violation is happening here) should be resisted by one and all.
No doubt China is turning out to be a source of cheap and skilled labour and many companies are benefiting by shifting manufacturing to China, but these companies should also be in the forefront to ensure that every human has a right to freedom and should not be a slave to any other entity. This is not the case in China and its time the world stands up and puts an end to this farce happening in China.

God speed to Google.
