Here goes the pompous self appointed slave of the Nehru-Gandhi family a, true leftist, Mr. Mani Shankar http://www.indianexpress.com/story/29112._.html.
No doubt there is some truth in what he says. The villages are marginalized. The poor are discriminated. The benefits of the liberal policy of the last decade or so has not yet percolated down to the lowest level.
But will Mr. Mani Shankar Ayyar ask himself as to why there were so many poor people in the first place after 40 years of socialist regime. Will his answer be that since the leftist per se were not ruling it was like that. His mentors, his masters, and mistress were the ones who ruled India till the early 90s barring a few years in between. Can he answer as to why the conditions of the people were deplorable even after 40 years of, probably what he would like to call, the "Golden Era of the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty"?
If Indira Gandhi really meant to hatao garibi why was there garibi and more garibi after her (mis)rule?
Sycophants like these with wierd sense of justice have been one of the primary reasons that we are were we are today. We would have been much better off without such people around.
How and who will talk some sense into such people? Can we purge our society of such people?
Thoughts that come to the mind expressed in the Internet realm. Chintanaigal pronounced chin-than-aye-cle (as in cubicle))
